Hello Spring. It’s wet and muddy and I’m confused about how to dress 100% of the time. This month I am fighting off cold after cold - not quite sick but mentally zoned out from fighting off the viruses. Looking through these photos from the month I realize that while I felt quilt lethargic I was quite active quilting. Self perception is always off and never more so than when I am sick. But for me I’m never satisfied if my mind is dull feeling because I get so much joy from thinking and writing, not just making things. I hope as the sun comes out I will feel more like myself.
Thank you all for your continued support of my writing and work. It means more than I can say.
Hand quilting the Baptist Fan. I usually finish hand quilting a piece in 2-3 weeks but this one has taken me a few months. I was confused why it was taking so long and then I looked at it compared to some of the other pieces I have worked on and realized the density of the quilting a lot. I especially love how it looks on the back of the quilt.
