I started making this yellow and coral quilt years ago. It started as part of another quilt but that quilt gave birth to a new quilt when a third of its blocks didn’t seem to fit. I couldn’t find a way to make the mustard yellows go with the pale soft yellow and corals so I took them out and set them aside. At first I thought these might just be extra blocks that would never became anything, but I am glad they stuck with me. I love these quilts that take me forever to solve. Composition problems are my favorite and I enjoy taking my time to ponder. Each quilt has a different gestational period - some seem to know what they want to be immediately and others have to work themselves out slowly.
